Dr. Sunilkumar Alur is a highly experienced General and Gastrointestinal Surgeon specializing in Advanced Minimal Invasive (Laparoscopic) Surgery, Bariatric (Obesity) Surgery, and Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal Surgery. With extensive experience in managing complex surgical conditions, he is known for his precise surgical techniques and patient-focused approach to care.
Dr. Alur has gained significant exposure in advanced laparoscopic procedures and surgical gastroenterology while working at leading tertiary care hospitals, including BGS Global Hospital, Bangalore. He has also participated in liver transplantation procedures and has vast experience in trauma surgery, surgical emergencies, and general surgical treatments.

In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Alur has contributed to medical education as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at Sapthagiri Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Center, Bangalore. Over the years, he has been associated with several reputed hospitals including St. Philomena’s Hospital and Mallya Hospital in Bangalore, Carmel Medical Center in Pala, and Geo Medical Trust Super-Specialty Hospital in Pathanamthitta, Kerala.

He has been actively involved in the surgical community and was part of the organising committee for conferences such as LapGISurg 2011 and Ossicon 2013. He is also a life member of several prestigious surgical associations, including the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India (AMASI), Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo Surgeons (IAGES), Association of Colo-Rectal Surgeons of India (ACRSI), Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), and the Surgical Society of Bangalore.
